Polar Night
[Made in 9 days for Historically Accurate Game Jam #10]
FULLSCREEN ENCOURAGED!
In the 19th century, the British Empire began investing in expeditions to the North Pole, to find the Northwest passage that would connect the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans. Many expeditions were done, and great many of them failed, sometimes in horrific fashions. This game simulates what it was like to be the captain of one such expedition, as you have to face the dangers of the Arctic, and to endure its insufferable Polar Night, where the sun never rises for 4 months, and the ships are stuck in an endless expanse of ice in every direction. However, not all is up to chance, because the choices you make can make all the difference in the end.
